In 2016 Streamline were the victim of a severe data attack - a hacker had encrypted their data and was holding them to ransom, otherwise known as a ransomware attack. At the time, Streamline was based in the same offices as Pinnaca, and a chance meeting in the hallway led to the directors of both companies discussing the attack and ideas about how Streamline’s data could be retrieved.
Pinnaca were able to advise on what they needed to do and provided an extensive audit of their systems and servers – identifying how Pinnaca could support Streamline and prevent future attacks.
